MDFRC Governing Board

The Governing Board is responsible for the overall strategic management of the Centre and the research portfolio of the Centre. The Board comprises an Independent Chair and a representative of each of the participants (CSIRO, La Trobe University and MDBA). Download the Board's bio. 

Dr John Williams is the Independent Chair of the Research Advisory Council and attends Governing Board meetings. He is one of Australia's most respected scientists and has a long association with MDFRC. Download John's bio.

MDFRC Research Advisory Council

The Research Advisory Council comprises an Independent Chair, a representative from each of MDBA's jurisdictions and the MDBA Basin Community Committee. The role of the RAC is to;

A) review the Centre's progress toward its strategic scientific objectives, and make recommendations to the Governing Board in relation to the Research Portfolio and research priorities of the Centre

B) provide stakeholder input into the research activities of the Centre

C) provide the Governing Board and the Centre Director with advice on emerging issues and knowledge gaps in the field and how these may be addressed by the Centre.
