antennal segments 2 and 3 each with 1 finger-like projection, segment 4 with 2 projections
hind tibia and tarsus very flat and broadly dilated, much broader than mid tibia and tarsus
fore tarsus 3-segmented, although often appearing 2-segmented externally
anterior claw of fore leg large, posterior claw vestigial or absent
abdominal sternites 4-6 subdivided into mediosternites and parasternites by a weak suture-like fold which originates at the basal angle of the subgenital plate (operculum)
abdominal spiracles situated on the mesal margin of the ventral laterotergites
abdominal air-straps long, mesal margins nearly contiguous
