Funding Body

Duration

September 2007 - August 2009

Outcomes

Monitoring information is regularly provided to managers as the wetlands undergo their drying phases in response to their isolation as part of drought water recovery.

Summary

Water levels, water quality, blue-green algae, fish, vegetation (river red gum and understorey communities) and waterbirds are being monitored regularly by MDFRC at Back and Tumudgery Creeks as the wetlands undergo a management-induced drying phase. These wetlands were selected for water recovery as part of the drought contingency measures in response to the current drought.
