Outcomes

SKM (2006). Assessment of current ecological condition and investigations for potential outcomes resulting from proposed management changes of the Tuppal Creek and Bullatale Creek Systems: Methods and Outcomes from Field Investigations. Draft Report (in review), to be submitted to Department of Natural Resources, NSW, March.

Summary

MDFRC are sub-consultants to Sinclair Knight Merz (SKM) on this project, for the NSW Department of Natural Resources.  The project will investigate and assess the potential ecological outcomes resulting from proposed management changes (to divert rainfall rejection flows to these creeks to stop unseasonable flooding in Barmah-Millewa Forest) and if these changes meet the management objectives of the Barmah-Millewa Significant Ecological Asset environmental management plan(s).  The work follows on from other work that MDFRC has done on these systems.  MDFRC's task in this project is to collect and analyse water quality and sulfidic sediment data and assess the current ecological condition of the Tuppal and Bullatale Creek systems.
