Summary
Processing and analysis of artificial substrate samples and sweep net samples collected from the Murray River in 2003 and 2004 by another agency.
Processing and analysis of live-picked sweep net samples and riffle kick samples collected from the Mitta Mitta River in 2002, 2003, 2004 and 2005 by another agency.
For all samples the identification of macroinvertebrates is to be completed to the lowest taxonomic level in accordance with the level set by the MDBC Biological Monitoring Working Group. In addition, data is to be assessed using a range of biotic indices (SIGNAL) and using AUSRIVAS to benchmark river health.
