Summary

Part 1 of this project will prepare a literature review that examines all aspects of the effects of sheep and cattle grazing on water quality including sediment loads, movement of pathogens, potential sources of endocrine disruptors, effects on riparian zones, effects on plant community structure, and impacts on soil structure and health.

The report will list the methodology used, results of the literature review, description of probable impacts of grazing on water quality in Lake Hume, a list of knowledge gaps, and suggest a research and monitoring program to address those gaps.
