Acid Sediments in NSW

Background: This project is a joint collaboration with the NSW Murray Wetlands Working Group, and is to further the environmental benefit from a successfully conducted project funded by the Environmental Trust and awarded to the MDFRC The extent of acid producing sediments in inland NSW waterways. Objective: The objective of this dissemination project is to make available research findings and the decision support tool developed as part of that project to a wider audience.

Broken River knowledge

The objective of this project was to distil and synthesise the information gathered by this project i.e. a synthesis of the hydrological and ecological information and an evaluation of the environmental consequences of a range of management interventions, so that it could be taken up by eWater products.

Bug Guide

This interactive guide to the "Identification and Ecology of Australian Freshwater Invertebrates" (Bug Guide) is designed to provide ecological and taxonomic information to enable community groups, students and scientists to readily identify inland aquatic invertebrates.

Lake Hume study

Lake Hume is a two-phase study. Phase 1 was a literature review on water quality issues relevant to Lake Hume. Phase 2 was a socio-economic analysis of various management interventions.

This project will work with water managers at the MDBC to determine what knowledge they require to underpin their operational decisions.

The aim of this project is to identify knowledge gaps for best management practices in the Lower Balonne system by determining what data sets and scientific information are available.

Under the ripples

A "road show" of a team of two aquatic scientists and one technician that will visit a different school and two other venues in the Albury Wodonga region each school day during National Science Week 2006 (12-20 August).
