Farwell to our two Summer Scholarship Students for 2007/2008
Trish Halpin was based at Wodonga, investigating the diet of Paratya australiensis (freshwater shrimp) in riverine-wetland habitats, supervised by Sally Hladyz and Amina Price.
Jono Thompson was based at Wodonga, examining the coleopteran (beetle) community of Snowy Creek Victoria, supervised by John Hawking and Rob Cook.

STUDENT CADETSHIP
Term: 8-10 weeks within 24 November 2008 to 13 February 2009
Payment: $410 per week
The scholarship is available to undergraduate students enrolled at La Trobe University who are about to complete their second or third year and are interested in pursuing a career in aquatic ecology.
